APPRENTICE
Our Apprentice classes are the perfect introduction for beginners looking to start Reformer Pilates. The exercises in these classes are simplified to help educate you on some of the key principles of Pilates: breathing, concentration and control. No class or client is the same at Hone. Spend as long as you need at Apprentice level building confidence with the equipment whilst improving form and body awareness with your movements. Our team of friendly instructors are here to guide you safely and provide modifications when needed.
Building on the foundations you have learnt in Apprentice, this class is designed to challenge you both mentally and physically. Exercises are progressed to improve strength, balance, and coordination. You will require a strong awareness of your body and physical endurance to maximise your potential in this class. Our team will safely push to the limit, empowering you to find progression and reach your goals.
A full-body workout to take your Reformer practice to the next level. This class requires a good level of fitness and technical capability. You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the equipment and exercise set-up. Be ready for tough progressions and quick transitions as we flow from one exercise to the next. To maintain the standard required, please consult directly with one of our instructors or email to be booked into this class.
An invigorating workout using the padded jump board to incorporate cardio that is low impact on the joints. This class is designed to safely elevate the heart rate and target muscular endurance. Expect a fun, high-intensity class with motivating beats that stimulates endorphins and will leave you feeling energised and renewed. This class has been adapted to Apprentice and Dynamic levels for all to enjoy.
Using the Reformer to move and lengthen our muscles, Stretch is designed to release both body and mind, resulting in a wonderful state of relaxation. Expect a mix of dynamic and static stretches using the tension of the springs to support and develop your movement. Our instructor will use a hands-on approach to guide you through a flow of exercises designed to target specific areas. All levels of ability are welcome; however, we do recommend attending a few classes at Hone first so you can familiarise yourself with our balanced body equipment and get the most out of this class.
Prenatal exercise is necessary to support your body through the natural changes that occur and prepare you for birth and parenthood to come. Our small group classes are a great way to continue your reformer journey through pregnancy, with modifications for 2nd and 3rd trimester clients by our PPN trained team members. Our classes are limited to a maximum of 6 participants so the instructor can work closely to your individual needs. We highly recommend you seek approval with your health professional before participating.
This bespoke session is tailored to each individual. A one-to-one is a great introduction to Hone if you feel uneasy in a group environment. Our staff will welcome you into the studio to discuss your individual goals and needs, and to familiarise you with our equipment. If you are working through injury but prefer group classes, our instructors can use this time to show you how to adapt exercises and spring tension to allow you to safely participate in these.
Our private 1:3 classes are designed for small groups of up to three people. At Hone, we try our best to keep our environment warm and welcoming, but we know trying something new can be intimidating for some! With our 1:3, you can bring a friend, family member or partner for moral support whilst enjoying the privacy of the studio in a class tailored to your abilities.
Looking for a team-building exercise? Our corporate reformer classes are a great way to bring together like-minded individuals. Enjoy a class tailored to all levels with one of our Hone instructors, in a relaxed, sociable environment that encourages health and well-being and supporting each other to learn new skills. This class accommodates up to 12 participants at our New Town studio and up to 5 participants at our Goldenacre studio, and can be booked under Personal Training.
